So, our day started off in an interesting way. At about 5:40 this morning I woke up and it felt like the bed was shaking and I thought that I heard some things in the closet rattling. Being that I was much closer to sleep than awakeness I just rolled over and went back to sleep so I could get that last 45 minutes in before I had to get up. As Matt and I were getting ready I mentioned to him that I thought I had felt the bed moving. When he said, "ME TOO!" I thought he was making fun of me...cause we all know that's what he does. So I went in the living room and turned on the news. Sure enough it was everywhere...we'd experienced an earthquake. Originally they were saying it was 5.4 at the epicenter, but now I think they've dropped it to 5.2. Of course when I got to work that's what everybody was talking about. Around 11:15 I was sitting at my desk and all of the sudden I felt shaking again. Aftershocks.... I have to say that I much prefer the earthquake experience when I'm half asleep and laying down. The aftershock (4.5) made me dizzy and a little nauseous. Don't think I'll be moving to Cali any time soon. However, I will say that I'll take an earthquake over a tornado ANY day...not at all looking forward to tornado season...especially living in an apartment.
The rest of the update is that Leo is growing like a weed. He's starting to get into EVERYTHING!
The Hanson concert was a bit of a let down...I wasn't too thrilled when one of them announced, "You guys are (insert bad word here) awesome!" The acoustic version of MMMBop was actually very good. The only thing I was really ticked about was that they said I had to take my camera back to the car because it's considered a "professional" camera...totally false, but because of that I have no good pics.
We move three weeks from tomorrow...if you'd like to help we won't refuse the extra hands. : )
Finally, I must give a super special birthday shout out to Heath. Hope your birthday is AWESOME!!
