Opinions and Twisters

The past week and a half have been full of activity. It started on Wednesday when Leah and Aidan were born. Our friends Matt and Ashley are now the proud parents of two of the MOST BEAUTIFUL babies I've EVER seen. You can see more info here. They went through a LOT to get those sweet angles here. Aidan was finally able to go home yesterday after a stay in the NICU.

Last Friday after work Matt and I went to the Colt's Fan Fest in Anderson, IN. It was lots of fun until THIS blew in...

There was an outdoor concert going on and just as Jon McLaughlin sang the last chorus the tornado sirens began to go off. Needless to say people began running to their cars. We are not familiar with the area, its about 35 minutes from where we live. So we got in the car and pulled out the GPS to try to find a place where we could go inside and be a little more safe. We pulled into the mall parking lot only to find out that they EVACUATE the mall when there's a storm. That's a GREAT idea!! Leave people outside to be swooped up by a giant funnel cloud. Thankfully, we were able to hide out in the Big Lots across the street. Many thanks go out to HANK for praying for us through the ordeal. We found THIS...

It's called the "Cuddler" and we want it! It's basically a recliner for two. May end up being a Christmas present to ourselves. Matt has a recliner right now. I hate it with a deep passion for many reasons...plus it's broken.

Then Saturday morning we flew to Orlando for General Conference. It was quite interesing to see how the church functions from that side of things. There'll be more to come on this later. For now let's just say that opinions are like...well I'll just let you finish it. : )

Florida Bound

Tomorrow Matt and I will be headed to Orlando for THIS event. Matt will be working with Spiritual Formation and I'll be with WIF. Should be an interesting next few days. Be in prayer for the Wesleyan Church as big decisions will be made in the coming days.
I am definitely looking forward to this...

And also excited about hanging out what my wonderfully hysterical friend Amanda and this sweet little doodlebug.

Isn't he PRECIOUS??? So, there will be no blogging until the end of next week. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I'll post again soon! Love to all!

Let me re-phrase that

I think my previous blog about the weather has been mis-understood by a few. I wasn't referring to the heat as an issue. I grew up in the South and lived in Texas for 4 years so I can handle the heat. What I was talking about was the continual state of rain/cloudy-ness/tornado watches/warnings day after day. Believe me I'll take the heat over sitting in my kitchen floor without power praying my house doesn't blow away ANY day.
